Meet Gonçalo & Afonso
Our passion for padel drives everything we do. Learn more about the coaches dedicated to elevating your game, from fundamental skills to competitive strategy.
With 9 years of experience as a padel player and 8 years as a certified coach by the Portuguese Padel Federation, I have dedicated my career to both playing and teaching the sport I love.
As a player, I compete in 1st category tournaments in Portugal, have participated in international FIP events, and proudly represent SC Farense and the Spanish team Sube la Red. I have also been selected to play for the provincial team of Huelva, achieving titles such as Champion of Huelva and winner of the AP Vitória Level 1 – 5000 tournament. Currently, I am ranked among the Top 100 players in Portugal.
As a coach, I work with athletes of all levels – from young beginners to national-level players – with a strong focus on groups and continuous development programs. I also organize and participate in national and international clinics, including adaptive padel clinics that promote inclusion.
What defines me as a coach is my ability to build trust with players and my strategic approach to the game. For me, padel is not about playing the most beautiful shots, but about making the most effective decisions on court.

My sports journey began with tennis, a sport I practiced both in training and competition. It was during university, while studying for a degree in Psychomotor Rehabilitation, that I discovered padel and developed a true passion for it.
After returning to the Algarve, I completed the Level I Padel Coaching Course and began my coaching career in 2022. Always looking to expand my knowledge and tools to better support athletes, I traveled to Madrid to complete the HAC Level 2 Course, led by the renowned coach Horacio Álvarez Clementi.
Combining my academic background in Psychomotricity with padel, I launched an adaptive padel project, guiding athletes in National Championships, where we achieved National Champion and Runner-up titles. I also organize local institutional events, sports camps, and social tournaments for children and young players.
Currently, I coach athletes of various levels and ages, both federated and non-federated, each with different goals within the sport. This diversity requires versatility and adaptability, making my work as a coach more complete and fulfilling.
